Christine Elisabeth Jackson FLS (née Adams) is an English natural history author, researcher on bird art, illustration and fish art, and a biographer of five naturalists.
Born 1936 in Huddersfield, West Yorkshire, UK, she graduated from Manchester Library School in 1959 and became an Associate of the Library Association UK. From 1960 to 1965 she was a librarian at the College of Further Education in Bedford and from 1967 to 1969 at the Hertfordshire County Library in Radlett. Since 1969, she has been a freelance researcher and author, and an occasional consultant for Sotheby's and Christie's.
Christine Jackson is a member of the Linnean Society of London and the Society for the History of Natural History where she served on the board from 1992 to 1995. In 1996 she was awarded the Founder's Medal by the society.
Christine Jackson has had 16 books published and written numerous articles.
Christine Jackson has also contributed to other publications, sale and exhibition catalogues, and local history research.
